Behind the scenes at FTP–our COVID response
Behind The Scenes at For The People Entertainment–Our COVID-19 Response
Back in 2019, we celebrated our 10th anniversary, and we had our best year yet. Going into 2020, we were going strong-even getting to do the Bridal Expo at the Brookfield Sheraton in early March. We spoke to lots of couples who were expecting to have and plan for their perfect wedding day. The biggest obstacle was the Democratic National Convention scheduled in Milwaukee for July. For the People Entertainment was planning for another great year!
We are not an essential business, and therefore forced to close our office. You can imagine how terrible this was for us. The first few days of the shelter in place were quiet. Suddenly, the requests to reschedule wedding dates started trickling in. Our clients were going through the worst possible moments, having to plan their weddings for a new date. Nobody should have to go through these experiences, but here we are, figuring out how to stay at home, and rearrange our lives.
Despite hard times, we’re not about to give up. We have made it through 10 years of really hard work. When we started this little dream of ours, we were trained to perform but still working on getting the best equipment we could. Our early clients were the key to our growth and success. Clients like you, who support small business, are going to be the key to keeping us alive through this pandemic and beyond. We are not resting on our laurels-rather we are working on improving ourselves, and our business while we have the time to really focus on doing it right. It was time for us to focus on the positive, and continue to move our business in the direction we dream it can go.
While this pandemic has kept us in our house, FTP Entertainment has been spinning records every Sunday night, live on Facebook to keep the positive vibes flowing. Music lifts the soul if you let it, and we’re lifting hearts weekly with our beats!
While we are in this slowdown, we have redesigned our website too. We’re looking forward to a fresh new look, and a fresh start after things start to re-open. Look for us at our new and improved website, ftpmke.com!
To those of you who are essential workers, FTP Entertainment thanks you for your service during this pandemic. We have some clients who are nurses, bankers, and other front line workers-shout out to you-you know who you are! We appreciate you!
We’re going to make it through together. As soon as we can have our parties, FTP will be right there showcasing how we’ve made it through to entertain For the People. After all, the people are who make us great.
Stay healthy, stay safe!
